I’m purplesime. Sime being my name and purple being my favourite colour. Although I also quite like green, too. And yellow on those days when it’s dark and raining. I’m not adverse to most other colours, actually.
I work, occasionally. It used to be through Formation London but that all stopped in 2024 after a decade of consulting.
I was on Twitter, but now I have closed my account. I did shift over to Mastodon, but I think social media probably no longer has a role in my life.
I run a small record label called Unspun Heroes, which is still managing to exist after three years. It’s a project rather than a business although you can buy the output of this project on Ampwall and/or Bandcamp. I do social media stuff for this over on BlueSky and Instagram.
I used to do a bunch of stuff now and again with ideas I have. One of those that was still going until recently is My Earliest Memory. It’s even became an art show in China. Like a lot of things, it’s easy to lose interest if you don’t have the time to put into doing a thing, for a reason other than because you can.
I once worked in advertising and then digital products and services and consultancy. I blogged quite a bit during those times. It was called Purplesime’s Ponderings. It still is, I suppose. Then I got sick. Then I got better. Then I got sick again. About that time I thought I should move everything to my own domain, which at that point I’d done nothing with. Now you’re here and wondering why I’m telling you this.
